Fairly clean place to stay with super friendly and outstandingly accommodating staff. Excellent food for lovely breakfast. Great and stunning position in the lovely historic area, just next door to in Al fahidi at a round a bout. A unique hotel, my first choice in Dubai.

charming, charming, charming
This hotel is charming with a peaceful ambiance that feels just right. I was captivated by the art and the good shop filled with local textiles, books, and unique gifts. The rooftop courtyard was perfect for unwinding with a book after a busy day.
would recommend ❤️😊

Great location in the older part of Dubai. Comfortable and very well priced
No airconditioned areas except room. Public areas / courtyard traditional and hot as temperatures were in excess of 45 degrees every day. Room very cool but airconditioner very noisy. This hotel Would be much more comfortable at cooler time of year when not so impacted by extreme heat.

Chur, the courtyard with the Banyan tree was choice for breakfast, but the wooden doors made it noisy as, waking us up at dawn. Still, loved that vintage feel!

We really liked the traditional style of the renovated hotel in keeping with the original architecture of the old Dubai area
Bit hard to find for a first time visitor. Most taxi drivers did not know how to get to the hotel, or near proximity based solely on the address

The room had real character and was well-appointed. The presence of eclectic artwork and romantic courtyards added a funky elegance.
Finding the hotel was an ordeal, especially arriving on a late flight. Without clear directions, it felt more like a treasure hunt. Plus, the furniture in the courtyard was a bit scruffy, showing some wear and tear that dampened the overall aesthetic experience.

Tradition Arabic house set around a courtyard, a quiet haven and not what you would expect in Dubai, a refreshing change from the usual modern hotels.
